Obituary of Lia Ann Dominguez

Lia Dominguez peacefully passed away surrounded by loved ones April 20, 2023. She was a shining example of love, kindness, and generosity, and her legacy will continue to live on through the countless lives she touched.

She was born September 21 1942 in Weatherford, Texas. She later became a mother of eight children.  Mom was a master baker, and her cakes, pies, and most importantly bread were nothing short of heavenly. She poured her heart and soul into each and every one, and the joy they brought to those who tasted them was a true reflection of the love she had for her family.

But above all she was a mother to not only her eight children, but to all of her grandchildren. Her unwavering love and support were a constant source of comfort and inspiration, and she always had a listening ear and a kind word for anyone who needed it.

Though we are heartbroken by her passing, we take comfort in knowing that Mom lives forever in our hearts and through our memories of her. She will be remembered through the many stories, life lessons, and recipes she shared. We will continue to cherish the moments we had with her for the rest of our lives.

She was preceded in death by her husband Louie Dominguez, father Juan O Sanchez, mother Zola Rose Fambrough, brothers Robert Sanchez and Darryl Sanchez, son Daniel Dominguez, and  grandsons Matthew Dominguez and Salvador Hererra.

She is survived by her brother Johnny Sanchez, her children, Gabriel Dominguez, Donna Dominguez, Johnny Dominguez, Louie Dominguez, Robert Dominguez and wife Kristy, Zola Davis, and Lisa Dominguez.

She’s also survived by her grandchildren, Danisha Dominguez, Deandra Dominguez, Causaundra Cole, Steven Cole, Lawrence Herrera, Nancy Herrera, Andrew Jones, Chris Jones, Joshua Dominguez, Aaron Dominguez, Matthew Dominguez, Aria Leik, Louie Dominguez, Samantha Dominguez, Christiana Dominguez, Andrea Dominguez, Kristiana Dominguez, Kaylee Dominguez, Mark Ramirez, RJ Davis, Jacklynn Davis Noble (Nathaniel Noble), Lia Perez (Stephanos Statom) Mya Perez (Gabriel Dimas)  and Tyra Perez. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Marcus, Cherish, Tristan, Julianna, Emilee, Christopher, and Miss Belle.

Rest in peace, Mom and Grandma Lia Dominguez. Your love and light will continue to shine on in the hearts of those who knew you.

Proverbs 31:25-31

She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future. When she speaks, her words are wise, and she gives instructions with kindness. She carefully watches everything in her household and suffers nothing from laziness. Her children stand and bless her. Her husband praises her: “There are many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all!” Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised. Reward her for all she has done. Let her deeds publicly declare her praise.
