Herman Sedillo

Obituary of Herman Ivan Sedillo

Our lives have been saddened and filled with grief over the loss of Herman I. Sedillo, who passed unexpectedly April 1, 2022, at 9:12pm at the age of 58.

His life was cut far too short. Herman was born September 3, 1963, to Ana Maria Sedillo and Benito Z Sedillo. For those of us who were fortunate enough to be a part of his life. Our lives will be forever blessed because of the impact and presence he had on every one of us.

Words from his sons:

Dad had several passions throughout his life. Being a father was his number one priority, cooking, cars, doing mechanical work, caring for those in need, sports, music instruments, landscaping and listening to rock & roll music.” He was a hustler, a hardworking man that valued, loved and cherished all his family and friends.

Dad was a loving, caring, attentive son, a hard-working man and excellent father to my brother and me. He lived in Albuquerque, NM his entire life. Surrounded by his children and family. He is the definition of a role model father and man, his children and mother where at the center of his life and he dedicated himself to make sure we were healthy, happy and all taken care of. He was steadfast to put his loved ones and their needs before his; Always had a job or in his free time busy working on a project to improve the lives of his sons and mother. He is an inspiration for what a good dad and man should be, and we’ll uphold his values and legacy for the rest of our lives and pass it on to our children.

We’re all going to miss seeing and hearing from him, eating the food he cooked on the grill outs, working on cars, going for cruises around the city; He knew how to have a good time and have fun. We love you so much and it hurts to know you’re gone from this earth. Thank you for being in our lives.

Herman was preceded in death by his father Benito Sedillo, brother Benny Sedillo, sister Sylvia Rivera and nephew Michael Paul Sanchez.
