Obituary of Cordelia Mata

                                                                                           Cordelia E. Mata 1934-2022

Cordelia, 87, of Albuquerque, New Mexico passed away at her home with family by her side on Wednesday, January 5, 2022.

Born February 10, 1934 in Dulce, New Mexico. She was daughter of the late Joe and Helen Valdez.

Cordelia was the sweetest soul one could have as a mother, a friend, a spouse, and a travel partner. She was an overachiever, hard worker, friendly, happy,

loving, kind, generous, and a devoted Christian. She enjoyed reading, and listening to the word of God, and always preached to her children to follow in the same footsteps. Everyone that knew her loved her. She will be missed dearly.

Cordelia retired from Presbyterian Hospital and Kaseman Hospital where she worked for over 25 years in admitting, and lending a helping hand in the emergency rooms.

She is survived by her daughter Uresa Mata of Albuquerque, NM., son Rick Mata of Studio City, Ca., granddaughter Kristie, great-grandson Zeph, great-granddaughter Ivory, sister Ester Mason, brother-in-law Frank Mason of Mt. Juliet, TN., sister-in-law Margery Mercer, and brother-in-law Howard Mercer of Phoenix, Az.,

A private memorial will be held with immediate family.

Kindly, keep Cordelia in your prayers. May she rest in peace, and in God's kingdom forever.
