Lee Leymon

Obituary of Lee Roy Leymon

Lee Roy Leymon, age 83 of Albuquerque, NM passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on May 19, 2021.

He is survived by his beloved wife Marilyn of 60 years, Brother James Sr., Son Gregory (Debbie), Daughter Kathleen (Brian), Son Brian (Melissa), Grandchildren Gregory, Katelyn (Alex), Keith (Kim), Kyle (Shayla), Madeline, Charlotte, and Great Grandchildren Ellie and Alessia.

Lee was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Elizabeth, Sister Ruby, Brothers Russell, and Earl Jr.

Lee was born in Maple City Michigan and grew up in Northern Michigan. While at Michigan State University, he found his soul mate in Marilyn and they married soon after. After graduating from college, Lee and Marilyn eventually moved the family to Charlevoix Michigan where he worked for the State of Michigan. Years later, the family moved to Albuquerque New Mexico.

Lee was one of the strongest, kindest and generous men you could ever have the privilege of knowing. He was a wonderful husband and father and instilled the family values in his children that were so important to him. In his younger years, he loved the outdoors and liked to hunt and fish. He taught his children how to live life to the fullest. True to his gentle soul, he never met a dog that didn’t absolutely love him. In the last years of his life, he fought with courage and resolve to remain with his loved ones as long as possible. He never complained or laid his burden on anyone.

We will forever remember Lee as the wonderful person he was and life will never be the same without him. We are thankful he is now at peace and has left the pain and suffering of this world behind. There will be a private celebration of his life in the near future. If you wish to contribute to his memory donations can be made to the New Mexico Cancer Center Foundation.
